Barbara G. Kleinfelter, 80, of Mount Gretna, and formerly of Middletown, died peacefully, on Friday June 20, 2025 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was the loving wife of William R. “Bill” Kleinfelter, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage together. Born in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Eleanor (Patton) Graffius. Barb as she was affectionately known, was a dental hygienist for the Central Dauphin and Harrisburg School districts before retiring after 25 years of service. Barb was a graduate of Millersville University and Temple School of Dental Hygiene. For many years Barb was the head of the Middletown Food Pantry. After retiring and moving to Mount Gretna Barb was elected as Judge of elections for Mount Gretna Borough for many years. Barb enjoyed acrylic painting, and decorative arts, and this became her passion for her free time. But her greatest passion was the love for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband Bill are two sons, Todd R. husband of Cristina Kleinfelter, Exeter Twp., Brad W. husband of Allison Kleinfelter, Mount Gretna, and a daughter Molly wife of Daniel Harms, Bernville; 6 grandchildren Zachary, Nathan, and Benjamin Kleinfelter, Mathias, Nora, and Isaac Harms; two brothers, William E. husband of Ruth Graffius, Harrisburg, David Graffius, Palmyra; and two sisters Kathy wife of Douglas Hall, New Cumberland, and Becky wife of Roy Witmer, Florida.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Mount Gretna Fire Company, 41 Boulevard Avenue, Mount Gretna on Friday July 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
