Barbara A. Grunenberger

Barbara A. Grunenberger, 86, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Luther Acres. She was the loving wife of the late Glenn E. Grunenberger, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2021.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Margaret (Connelly) Dissinger.

Barbara was a graduate of Manheim Central High School, class of 1958. Following high school, she enrolled at Elizabethtown College and earned an Associate of Science Degree in Secretarial Science. She then relocated to California, married Glenn, and for 37 years she worked in office administration for accounting firms. Following retirement, Barbara and Glenn returned to Lancaster County.

In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed reading books and solving word-search puzzles. An outgoing person, she valued the time spent with her friends at Luther Acres. Barbara was known for her care for others, and she was well-liked by those she knew. She was a long-time member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Manheim.

She is survived by a brother, Robert (Cheryl) Dissinger, of New Hampshire; sisters, Catherine (Thomas) Knittle, of Lititz, Mary “Betsy” Ruhl, of Columbia, and Patricia (John) Olyarnik, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Sue Eveleth.

Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Memorial Garden of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
