Anastasie Clerveau Edma, 85 ans, appelée aussi “Nanote” ou “Fannie”, est décédée paisiblement le dimanche 27 septembre 2026 dans sa résidence entourée de sa famille aimante. Née à Port-Salut (Point-Sable), Haïti, elle était la fille de Benoit Clerveau et Felicia Solomon décédée.
Elle vivait à Point-Sable pendant des années où elle a épousé l’amour de sa vie, Vitalherne Edma, a eu cinq enfants et faisait comme métier commerçante et propriétaire d’un restaurant pour subvenir aux besoins de sa famille. Elle était connue pour sa bienveillance, en cuisant des plats chauds pour les jeunes garçons de son quartier qu’elle nomme « ti-granster point-sable ». Elle aimait le jardinage, la cuisine et s'occuper des enfants. Elle a touché le cœur de tout le monde qu’elle a rencontré, que ce soit famille, amis, ou des inconnus . Elle servait Dieu fidèlement là où elle passait. Son verset préféré est le verset Psaume 23, verset 6 : « Oui, le bonheur et la grâce m'accompagneront tous les jours de ma vie et j'habiterai dans la maison de l'Éternel jusqu'à la fin de mes jours. »
Elle avait une sœur, Veronique Clerveau, et un frère, Benel Clerveau, décédé.
Anastasie a laissé son mari bien-aimé, Vitalhere Edma, après 61 ans de vie ensemble et cinq enfants : Jacques Edma (Agathe Edma), Nirva Edma Gauthier (Paul Gauthier), Joudain Edma (Marie Josie Edma), Yolette Edma Scutt (Breton Jr. Scutt), et Micheline Edma Deller (Faber Deller).
Dix-sept petits-enfants: Stacy, Vanapolie, Richie, Sharma, Beatrice, Paula, Bretina, Laurencia, Alida, Mitch Kerry, Lorden, Bretony, Jonathan, Jaylen, Naïsha, Betania, et Prince Rayan. Trois arrière-petits-enfants : Zhara, Zylancia, et Rey-Steisen Friedrich. Aussi ce que ses cousins et cousines et ses neveux et nièces.
Et elle a laissé un vide entre sa famille et ses amis, les mettant.
Nous invitons ses proches et ses amis à assister à leur cérémonie célébrant la vie d'Anastasie, le samedi 10 octobre 2026 à 10 heures du matin à Buch Funeral Home, 216 S Broad St, Lititz, PA 17543. L’exposition se fait le 9 du matin. L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière Longnecker à Route 772 & Longenecker Road, Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA.
Anastasie Clerveau Edma, 85, often referred to as “Nanote” or “Fannie” passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port-Salut (Point-Sable), Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Benoit Clerveau and Felicia Solomon.
She spent most of her years in Point-Sable where she married the love of her life Vitalherne Edma, had five children, and worked as a merchant and restaurant owner to provide for her family. Anastasie was known for her benevolence, often cooking hot meals for the young boys in her neighborhood, whom she called “ti-granster point-sable.” She loved gardening, cooking, and taking care of children. She touched the hearts of everyone she met, whether family, friends, or strangers. She faithfully served God wherever she went. Her favorite verse is Psalm 23:6 “Oui, le bonheur et la grâce m'accompagneront tous les jours de ma vie, Et j'habiterai dans la maison de l'Éternel Jusqu'à la fin de mes jours.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Benel Clerveau, and sister Veronique Clerveau.
Anastasie is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Vitalherne Edma. She is also survived by her five children: two sons, Jacques Edma (Agathe Edma), Joudain Edma (Marie Josie Edma), three daughters: Nirva Edma Gauthier (Paul Gauthier), Yolette Edma Scutt (Breton Jr. Scutt), and Micheline Edma Deller (Faber Deller).
Seventeen grandchildren; Stacy, Vanapolie, Richie, Sharma, Beatrice, Paula, Bretina, Laurencia, Alida, Mitch Kerry, Lorden, Bretony, Jonathan, Jaylen, Naïsha, Betania, Prince Rayan and three great-grandchildren : Zhara, Zylancia, and Rey-Steisen Friedrich.
She is remembered by many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anastasie’s celebration of life service at Buch Funeral Home, 216 S Broad St, Lititz, PA 17543 on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00am. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday morning, October 10, 2026, from 9:00am until the time of the service. Interment in Longnecker’s Cemetery, Route 772 & Longenecker Road, Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA.
