Somvang Detvongsa

Somvang Detvongsa, 57, of 74 South Snyder Street, Manheim died on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster after a lengthy illness. Born in Laos, he was the son of Bong Detvongsa of Laos and the late Chanty Detvongsa. He was the husband of Vantha Inthisane of Laos. Somvang was a machine operator for Lift-All Inc., Lancaster.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father are three daughters, Chaisavahn wife of Souk Saengdara of Manheim, Somchanh wife of Khongsavat Koulavong of Manheim, Souksavanh Detvongsa of Laos, a son, Khamphan husband of Yen Detvongsa of Laos, five grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral ceremony at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, PA on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
