Sandra L. "Sandi" Seachrist

January 5, 1949 — June 27, 2017

Sandra L. “Sandi” Harkins Seachrist, 68, loving wife, devoted mother, and dear friend died peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Emma Kreider Rintz. Sandi was the loving wife of Gerald L. Seachrist and they would have observed their 39th wedding anniversary in December of this year. She graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 1966. For over ten years Sandi worked as an account representative for the Manheim Auto Auction. Sandi had a life-long passion for flower and plant gardening, taking classes through the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences and receiving a certificate as a “Master Gardener” at Mount Joy Vo-Tech Horticulture program. Her interests were spending time at the beach especially Ocean City Maryland, being in the outdoors and observing wild life. She loved raising Golden Retrievers and missed her favorite Golden Retriever Dogs named: “Golden Bear”, Katie, and Katie Two. Sandi had a deep love for her family and opened her home and heart to everyone she knew.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Gerald, are three sons: Dale Secker of Mount Joy, Russ husband of Gina Secker of Glen Mills, Jeremy Seachrist of Mount Joy, a daughter, Pam Levitan companion of Jeff Zeager of Manheim, three grandchildren, Rachael, Katie, Nate, and a loving mother-in-law, Betty J. Grant of East Petersburg.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sandi’s graveside service at the Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Sunhill Road, Manheim, on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:45 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
