Ronald H. Smith, Sr.

Ronald H. “Ron” Smith, Sr. 65, of York, died peacefully Sunday April 9, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster County he was the son of the late Willard A. “Bill” and Eriean “Sally” (Anderson) Smith. Ron was employed at Armstrong Floor Plant, Lancaster for many years as an inspector before retiring. Ron greatly enjoyed his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, bowling, and especially going to “The Mountains” in Clearfield County.

Surviving is a daughter Shannon wife of Chris Gornik, Manheim; a son Ronald H. Smith, Jr, Maytown; seven grandchildren; and a sister Carole wife of Wally Truszkowski, Monroe Twp. NJ. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Derek, and a brother Kenneth Smith.

A time of sharing and remembering by family and friends will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy PA at 7:00 P.M.
