Rickey P. Kendig

Rickey P. “Rick” Kendig, 64, of Manheim passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Millersville, he was the son of the late Amer and Emma Rohm Kendig. He was the beloved husband of Joyette Friedman Kendig. Rick worked for Cenveo Publisher Service, Lancaster. He was also a relief houseparent at Milton Hershey School, a Motorcycle Safety Instructor, was a retired deputy for the PA Game Commission and operated roller coasters at Hershey Park. Rick was an active soccer player. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Rick loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Shawn husband of Abby Kendig of New Jersey, Josh and Justin Kendig both of Manheim, two stepsons, McLean husband of Justine Friedman of Michigan, Donovan husband of Odessa Friedman of Manheim, two grandsons, Ethan and Owen, two step grandsons, Jacob and Caleb, a brother, John Kendig of New York and a sister, Sherry Flemming of Millersville.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
