Richard E. Shenenberger

February 15, 1929 — June 8, 2012

Richard E. Shenenberger, 83, of Mount Joy, died peacefully following a brief illness on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Elwood and Lorene Berntheizel Shenenberger. Richard worked for Hamilton Watch Company, the former Schick Corporation all of Lancaster; and the former Raymark Industries Manheim. Following retirement he was employed at the Manheim Auto Auction. Richard served in the United States Army Air Force. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Manheim, where he helped as an usher in his early years. His interests included fishing and hiking. Surviving is a sister, Phyllis L. Showers Hinerdeer wife of Donald E. Hinerdeer of Manheim, and two nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
