Richard E. Reitz

Richard E. Reitz, formerly of Wilcox, PA passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Ridgway, he was the son of the late Damon and Edna Green Reitz. He was the husband of Elizabeth Mecca Reitz of Elizabethtown and his first wife, Verna Summers Reitz who died in 1993. Richard retired as a machinist in Palmyra, PA and also worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill. He was a member of Palm Lutheran Church, Palmyra and past master of Masonic Lodge #675 F&AM, Johnsonburg, PA.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Richard E. Jr. husband of Cheryl Reitz of Kissimmee, Florida, a daughter, Beth Ann wife of Frank DeMasi of Virginia Beach, Virginia, three grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at the Masonic Village, John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Hershey Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers. Those desiring may send contributions in Richard’s memory to Masonic Charities, Office of Gift Planning, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
