Richard D. "Dick" Sanchez

June 1, 1946 — March 9, 2010

Richard D. Dick Sanchez, 63, of Mount Joy passed away on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy surrounded by his sons, family and friends. Dick was born on June 1, 1946 in Lancaster. He was the son of the late Jacinto and Beatrice Martin Sanchez. Dick had explored and traveled the United States. He has friends all over the country. He loved fishing, playing pool and drinking a beer with his friends. Once he discovered North Carolina he called this state his home for many years. He traveled the state from Grand Father Mountain to Ocracoke Island. He finally came home to spend time with his sons and loving family.


Surviving are two sons, Richard Jr. husband of Nicole Sanchez and Mark husband of Tina Sanchez, both of Lancaster; eight siblings, Willy husband of Carmen Sanchez of Virginia, Dee wife of late Ben Groff of Lancaster, Carmen wife of Dale Bezzard of Manheim, David Sanchez of Mount Joy, Mike husband of Denise Sanchez of North Carolina, Mitzi Sanchez of Mount Joy, Denny Sanchez and Paul husband of Lisa Sanchez both of Manheim; seven grandchildren, Eric, Alexis, Leah, Andria, Erynn, Sophia, and Dominick.



Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Richards Life at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 3:00 PM. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
