Phyllis Janet "Jane" Smith

Phyllis Janet "Jane" Smith, 82 of Newport, PA formerly of Columbia PA passed away on Saturday May 18, 2019 at the Elizabethtown Healthcare and Rehab Center. Born in Napier Township, Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Rush and Georgianna Miller Manges. Jane was a faithful member of Silver Springs Baptist Church, Columbia where she served in various capacities to help the church. She enjoyed volunteering, reading, and square dancing.

Surviving are six children, Kenneth husband of Lori Smith, Mark Smith both of Columbia, Luckie husband of Kathy Smith of Middletown, Joseph Smith of Etters, Sis George of Columbia, and Sue wife of Tim Simpson of Newport, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Jim the husband of Nancy Manges of Ohio. She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jane's Celebration of Life Service at Silver Springs Baptist Church, 4001 Marietta Avenue, Columbia on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit the family immediately following the service. Interment will be July 6, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Fishertown cemetery Schellsburg, PA
