Nancy F. Ginder

April 24, 1935 — July 16, 2010

Nancy F. Ginder, 75, of 4679 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 16, 2010surrounded by her family; and went home to be with her Lord, following an illness of seven years of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Elizabeth Haldeman Faus. Nancy graduated from the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing, and was employed as a registered nurse at the Mount Hope Dunkard Brethren Home, Manheim for many years; previously, she worked at the Lancaster General Hospital, and the former Elmdale Home in Lititz. She was the loving wife of Lloyd B. Ginder and they observed their 53rd wedding anniversary in May of this year. Nancy was an active and faithful member of Ruhls United Methodist Church, Manheim, where she helped as a Sunday school teacher, was a choir member, a member of womens sewing circle and the United Methodist Women. She also helped through the church with mission trips, and aided with the start of the churchs evening fellowship meals. She volunteered with meals on wheels in the Manheim area, the Nearly Nu Thrift Shop, and was a member of the former Manheim Red Rose Lioness Club. She enjoyed traveling, and helped her husband as a tour director with many bus trips. She and her husband shared a passion for motorcycle riding, and she would accompany her husband riding with him on trips with his motorcycle where they visited all fifty states of the United States, and all of the Canadian Provinces.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Carol L. Miller of Manheim, a son, Dale L. husband of Lisa Myers Ginder of Manheim, two grandchildren, Benjamin Lloyd Ginder and Cassandra Elizabeth Ginder, two sisters, Lois I. Shaub of Manheim, and Faye wife of Charles Frye of Akron, Ohio.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Ruhls United Methodist Church 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rob Timlin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
