Melvin J. Gyle

Melvin J. Gyle, 80 of Landisville, died peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2010.
Mel served in the United States Air Force for over twenty years. He was the husband of the late Thora Thordardottir Gyle who died in 2004. He graduated from Millersville State University with both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in education, and taught in the York Suburban School District. Mel was a member of the Mount Joy Masonic Lodge, the Columbia-Middletown Elks Lodge and the Mount Joy American Legion.
Surviving are three daughters: Jane Christian, of Lyons, CO., Diane Gyle of Landisville, and Deborah Saenen of Pequea, two grandchildren: Sarah and Christian Saenen and a brother, Gary Nulton of N.C.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday morning, September 1, 2010 promptly at 10:30 AM. Family and friends will travel in procession for interment services at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA at 11:30 AM. Please omit flowers.
