Mark A. Spangler, 84 of Manheim passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Corinne (Suter) Spangler, and they observed their 58 wedding anniversary last August. Born in Marion Township, Berks County he was the son of the late, Albert and Edith (Donkel) Spangler. Mark served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the former RCA now Burle Industries in Lancaster as a supervisor in the Life Test Lab and the Environmental Testing Lab until his retirement in 1991. He was an avid private pilot flying Cessna, Piper, Mooney and Aeronca planes, enjoyed flying radio controlled planes, and enjoyed boating on the Susquehanna and racing for 1 season.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are four brothers, Raymond of Carlsbad, CA, Leon of Leola, Larry of North Carolina, Dale of Wellsville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Irene.
Services will private and at the convenience of the family.
