Marie P. Fahnestock

Marie P. Fahnestock, 94, formerly of Sanctuary Road, Manheim, died peacefully at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, and wentto her heavenly home on Sunday, December 12, 2010.

Born in Salunga, she was the daughter of the late B. Frank and Susan Peters Sangrey. A homemaker, she was the loving wife of the late Rufus G. Fahnestock who died in February of 2008. Marie was a member of the White Oak Church Of The Brethren, Manheim, where she served along side her husbandthroughout his ministry as they encouraged and visited many people.

Surviving are two daughters: Sue Ann wife of Mervin Miller of Middlebury, Indiana, Theda A. wife of Nevin Ebersoleserving in Grenada; three sons: Glenn L. husband of Rachel Keller Fahnestock of Manheim, Mark R. husband of Macelia Henry Fahnestock of Mount Joy, James R. husband of Nancy Brubaker Fahnestock of Stevens, twenty grandchildren, and fifty-eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are four brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the White Oak Church Of The Brethren 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Interment is in Graybills Brethren Cemetery, Elm. There willbea public viewing at the White Oak Church Of The Brethren on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
