Levi A. Fuhrman

November 28, 1928 — November 9, 2016

Levi A. Fuhrman, 87, formerly of East Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Brethren Village. Born in Rohrerstown, he was the son of the late Levi H. and Esther Andrews Fuhrman. He was the loving husband of the late Jean E. Hess Fuhrman who died in 2008. Retired in 1990, Levi worked for Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster. He proudly served in the 82nd Airborne division of the United States Army. Levi was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim and the Lancaster American Legion Post 34. He also volunteered at the former St. Joseph Hospital, Lancaster. Levi loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three children, Garry W. husband of Beth Fuhrman of Columbia, Barry L. husband of Catherine Fuhrman of Mountville and Judy A. Risner of Lancaster, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a brother, Donald A. Fuhrman of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a grandson, CPT Brandon Fuhrman, a brother, Robert A. Fuhrman and a sister, Ruth N. Frey.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Camp Hill Cemetery, Mount Joy.
