Leona G. Snyder

Leona G. Snyder, 94, formerly of Manheim passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Atria Park of Lake Forest, Florida. Born in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mattie Justice Damron. She was the loving wife of the late Charles R. Snyder who died in 2013. In her earlier years, Leona worked as a cashier at the former Acme Markets, Lancaster County. She proudly served in the United States Army Nurses Corps during WW II. Leona was a member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim and she enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving is a son, Charles R. Jr. husband of Pamela Snyder of Lake Mary, Florida, two granddaughters, Gretchen and Erika, six great grandsons and a sister, Mary C. Banks of Forest, Virginia. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Ann Snyder.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment in Ruhl’s United Methodist Cemetery, Rapho Township.
