Kathleen J. Bailey

Kathleen J. “Nanny” Bailey, 92, of Mount Joy passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Lititz. Born in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Jennie Speece Stutzman. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Bailey who died in 1991. Kathleen worked at the former AMP Corp., Payne Shoe Factory and Schock Presbyterian Home all in Mount Joy. She was an active and faithful member of Calvary Bible Church, Mount Joy where she served as Sunday school secretary/treasurer. She also helped with handicap ministry and ministry for senior citizens. Kathleen enjoyed having bible studies in her home. Her interests included reading, writing, and sending letters and cards. An avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, Nanny also loved to babysit children from the community in her home.

Surviving are five daughters, Nadine Y. Bailey of Manheim, Donna M. wife of Steve Pulliam of Bradenton, Florida, Audrey J. wife of Jeff Bowers of Mount Joy, Cheryl A. wife of Patrick Bonham of Lititz and Cindy L. wife of Douglas W. Rapp of Columbia, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Bailey, a daughter, Karen A. Bailey, and four sisters, Roberta Shirk, Margaret McNeal, Virginia Linebaugh and Patricia Stutzman Allison.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Calvary Bible Church, 629 Union School Road, Mount Joy on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Manheim. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
