Karen L. Rheinheimer

October 2, 1961 — January 28, 2018

Karen L. Rheinheimer, 56, of Manheim, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her home following a six-year courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Gerald and Loretta Gochenauer Binkley of Willow Street. Karen was the loving wife of Michael R. Rheinheimer and they observed their 33rd wedding anniversary on September 22, 2017. She was employed by Stoltzfus Catering of Mount Joy and previously helped to organize the Lancaster Mennonite Sports Organization. In her early years she was employed by the Office Works, Lancaster and most recently attended Forest Hills Mennonite Church, Leola. Karen enjoyed coaching her daughters’ basketball teams throughout their middle school years and got the most joy from watching them play throughout high school and college. She loved going to the beach along with touring Major League Baseball stadiums with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two daughters: Stephanie Rheinheimer and Jessica Rheinheimer both of Mount Joy, two brothers: Kenneth, husband of Pam Binkley and Kevin, husband of Judy Binkley all of Willow Street and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Physicians, Nurses, and Staff of the Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, for their support and expert medical care they provided to Karen throughout her illness.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Karen’s Life Celebration Service, at Forest Hills Mennonite Church, 100 Quarry Road, Leola, on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 4:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at Erb Mennonite Cemetery, Lititz.
