Janet K. Shaeffer

Janet K. Shaeffer, 79, of 107 Railroad Ave. Manheim, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Kiehl. Janet worked for Hamilton Watch, and Schick of Lancaster; and the Manheim Twin Kiss. She was the wife of Robert E. Shaeffer. Janet was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim, and graduated from Manheim High School. She was an avid reader, loved playing bingo, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandson.

Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Mark S. husband of Karin Shaeffer of Greensboro, N.C., a daughter, Dana L. wife of Jere Haug of Manheim, four grandchildren: Matthew, Kyla, Ryan, Jordan, and a great grandson, Chase. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Dawn E. Shaeffer and a sister, Geraldine Sprout.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Interment is in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
