Geroma M. "Gerry" Davide

Geroma M. “Gerry” Davide, 91, of Manheim and formerly of Port Chester, NY passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Port Chester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Domenica Sena Gioffre. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph J. Davide who died in 2005. Retired in 1993, Gerry worked as a secretary at the former United Hospital, Port Chester, NY. Previously, she worked at Homelite, a division of Textron, in Port Chester, NY as an executive secretary for twenty years. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim, PA and Our Lady of the Rosary, Port Chester, NY. Gerry was also a life member of St. Anne’s Sodality. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and she loved to spend time with her family.
Surviving is a daughter, Francine wife of Domenick Romanello of Manheim, a son, Joseph P. husband of Eileen Hackett Davide of Harleysville, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a sister, Nancy Gianotta of New Milford, Connecticut. She was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Gioffre and a sister, Mary Vita.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim, PA on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. There will be an additional viewing at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester Street, Port Chester, NY on Friday evening from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Chester, NY on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Please omit flowers.
