Gary contributed many hours working on projects for Habitat for Humanity along with many mission trips with St. Mark's Church. Gary always had a great passion for hot rod cars and automotives. His career further led him to become Regional Sales Manager for Bear Automotive, as well as becoming owner and operator of the Silver Springs Garage. In later years after retirement, he worked part-time at the Manheim Auto Auction. In addition, some of Gary's other passions included Lionel trains, building and flying model airplanes, hunting, boating, fishing, bowling, playing cards, hosting many gatherings in his home, family vacations and weekend trips to the family's cabin at Raystown Lake. Gary was a charismatic, highly motivated, independent and generous man who brought great joy, kindness and wisdom to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his celebration of life at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 27 East Main Street Mount Joy on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:00am.
