Ethel F. Shaffer

Ethel F. Shaffer, 93, of Manheim, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community. Born in Alexandria, VA., she was the daughter of the late William and Hattie Mentzer Taylor. Ethel was the loving wife of the late Foster B. Shaffer who died in June of 1998. Ethel worked as a sales clerk for J.C. Penny, Lancaster Store. She attended God’s Missionary Church, Lebanon.

Surviving is a son, Rudy A. husband of Rhoda E. Keller Shaffer of Manheim, two daughters; Vivian E. Shaffer of Manheim, Denise F. wife of James Cruce of Lebanon, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is a grandson, two brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ethel’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.
