Edith B. "Edie" Landis

Edith B. Edie Landis, 90, formerly of East High Street, Manheim died peacefully surrounded by her family, on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Hospice Of Lancaster County, Mount Joy Facility.

Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Lemon and Mimie Brandt Zellers. For over fifty years Edie worked as a cook in many restaurants in the Manheim area. She was the wife of the late Albert M. Landis who died in 1987. Edie was a passionate Philadelphia Phillies fan. Surviving is a son, James A. Landis of Mount Joy, three grandchildren: Jamie Field, Josiah Landis, Tyler Landis, and two sisters: Helen LeFever and Mary Zellers. Preceding her in death are five brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Thursday evening, November 11, 2010 at 7:30 PM. Interment will be on Friday morning at 10:00 AM at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster. There will be a public viewing on Thursday evening from 6:30 PM until the time of the service.
