Deborah A. Sloan, 58, formerly of Manheim, passed away at her home in Lancaster on Friday, January 23, 2015. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mae Weachter Sloan. Deb was a graduate of York Technical Institute’s travel program and worked in the travel industry for several years. Most recently, she was employed as a clerk at Stauffers of Kissel Hill, Rohrerstown Road, Lancaster.
Surviving is a sister, Dianna S., wife of Kirk E. Barrett of Millersville, and two nephews, Trevor J. and Seth R. Barrett. Deb is also survived by many extended family members locally and in Pittsburgh, PA.
Deb was a loving and life-long friend to her sister and a kind, wonderful aunt to her two nephews. She took great joy in her nephews, making new friends, attending concerts, doting on her cats, and traveling.
Services will be private at a later date.
