Cody Austin Hollinger

April 9, 1994 — January 16, 2011

Cody Austin Hollinger, 16, of 1677 Lebanon Road, Manheim, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Hershey Medical Center following an auto accident in South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Chad M. Hollinger of Manheim and Tricia L. Hamm wife of Mark H. Koch of Manheim. Cody was a sophomore at Manheim Central High School and was a member of the high school football, swim, and track teams. He was baptized at Ruhls United Methodist Church, Manheim, and attended the Bridge United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. Cody enjoyed all outdoor activities and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a passion for boating, jet skiing, snowmobile riding and skiing. Cody loved his family and he especially enjoyed spending the summers on the St. Lawrence River with his Paternal and Maternal grandparents; and the rest of his family as well as traveling to the family cabin in Potter County.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Logan E. Hollinger, of Manheim, Maternal Grandparents: Walter P. and Trudi J. Hamm of Manheim, Paternal grandparents: J. Larry and JoAnne Hollinger of Manheim, Maternal Great Grandmother: Ruth L. Hamm of Clarks Summit, Step Paternal Grandparents: Henry M. Jr. and Patricia A. Koch of Oley, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the LCBC Church, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 5:00 PM. There will be a viewing at LCBC Church on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again at the church on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Additional Services for Cody will take place at the Manheim Brethren In Christ Church 54 North Penryn Road Manheim, PA on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the Manheim Brethren In Christ Church on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Penryn Cemetery, Penryn, PA. Please omit flowers. Those desiring may send contributions in Codys memory to Care For our Kids Project (checks payable to MCSD Social Services Fund), 71 North Hazel Street, Manheim, PA 17545 to help pay for funeral expenses. Any excess funds will be used towards a scholarship in his memory.
