Christopher Scott "Crit" Herr

Christopher Scott Crit Herr, 26, of Ephrata, and formerly of Lancaster, died on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in Manheim Township. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Christine G. Morris Gharbi wife of Hattab Peter Gharbi of Lancaster, and Jeffrey Scott Herr husband of Maria Herr of Ephrata. Chris was employed as a technician at the Rolex Watch Service Center Lititz. He was a 2002 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School Lancaster, where he was a member of the high school baseball team, and participated in the U.S. Army Reserves during his junior year. Chris had a passion for motorcycle riding. He loved sports of all types, and played flag football and was a member of the Hitmen flag football team in the Lancaster County Flag Football League. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies and playing poker. His interests included playing golf, and the music of Eminem. With out a doubt Chris was an enthusiastic, passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters: Tricia Kay Laukhuff, Rebecca Diane Williams-Jones all of Lancaster, a brother, E. Ryan Herr of Lancaster, a step brother, Brett Bates of Ephrata, maternal grandmother, Kay A. Yockey of Lititz, paternal grandfather, Nelson Herr of Ephrata, paternal grandmother, Katherine Herr of Mountville, three nieces: Savannah, Alanna, Reece, and a nephew, Tyler. Chris will be lovingly missed by his girlfriend Liza Koch of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate his life with a service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim, on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or friends may send contributions in Chriss memory to the Childrens Miracle Network, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, A190, P. O. Box 855, Hershey, PA 17033-0855.
