Charles G. "Pete" Moyer

Charles G. Pete Moyer, 71, of East Petersburg passed away at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Ammon and Marie Berkheiser Moyer. He was the husband of the late Ruth A. Schwab Moyer who died in 2005. Pete was a graduate of Hempfield High School. He owned and operated the former Moyers Frame Service, Lancaster where he enjoyed working as a mechanic. He also worked at Franks Garage on Union Street, Lancaster. His interests included traveling, auto racing and spending time with his family.



Surviving are three daughters, Barbara A. wife of Paul Miller of Manheim, Suzanne M. wife of Jim Benoit of Port Orange, Florida, Kim L. wife of Steven Cooper of Mount Joy, a son, Charles G. Moyer Jr. of Sabattus, Maine, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers, Edward Butch husband of Barbara Sis Moyer of East Petersburg and Ammon Brother husband of Jane Moyer of Sedona, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Moyer.



Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Pastor R. Eugene Hill officiating. Interment in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township, PA. There will be public viewing at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and again at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
