Carl E. Hammer, 49, of Manheim, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Dorothea Donten Hammer Gochnauer wife of Donald Gochnauer of Landisville, and the late Harry Hammer. Carl was the husband of Amanda Fox Hammer. He was formerly employed as a supervisor for Lift All Corporation. Carl enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, mother, and step father, is a daughter, Sarah Hammer, a son, Shawn Hammer both of East Petersburg, three step sons: Justin Miller of Shippensburg, Kurtis Miller or Orrtanna, Matthew Strausbaugh of Fairfield, a sister, Brenda wife of Dennis Gochenaur of Landisville, a brother, Neal husband of Brynn Hammer of Manheim, two step sisters: Lisa Gochnauer, of Centerville, Lynn wife of Randy Neff of Manheim, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is a sister, Barbara J. Hammer, and a brother, Paul Hammer.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
