Betty Jane Hess

Betty Jane Hess, 84, of Manheim, died peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Ellis H. and Edna Ruhl Heisey. In 1987 Betty retired from the former RCA Corporation Lancaster. She was the wife of the late Landis E. Hess who died in 1994. Betty was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church Manheim and the Manheim Historical Society. She volunteered at Pleasant View Retirement Community. Betty is survived by a niece. Preceding her in death is a sister, G. Verna Heisey and a brother Orville S. Heisey. All are invited to attend the funeral service for Betty Jane to be held from the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM. A visitation time will take place in the Hoffer Auditorium on Monday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service. Interment will be in Ruhl's United Methodist Cemetery, Rapho Township.
