Barry D. Rhoads, formerly of Lititz, died peacefully at his home in Mount Joy, on Friday, July 31, 2015. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clair and Bertha Underkoffler Rhoads. Barry was the loving husband of Judy R. Gochenauer Rhoads and they observed their 29th wedding anniversary in May of this year. In 2005 Barry retired as a production supervisor for Kellogg’s Lancaster Plant. Previously he taught physical education and business in Colorado and Pennsylvania schools. Barry was a 1958 graduate of Warwick High School, Lititz. In 1964 Barry received a bachelor's degree from Western State Colorado University. He was an active and faithful member of the Lititz Moravian Congregation. Barry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin in Potter County.

Surviving in addition to his wife Judy, is a sister, Roberta wife of Ted Schmid of Lititz, and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Barry’s memorial service at the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the memorial service and attend a meal in the social hall of the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Lititz Moravian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Barry’s memory to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9833.
