What to do After the Funeral

Honoring the Memories of a Lifetime

At the Buch Family of Funeral Homes, we developed our Aftercare Program to assist families in dealing with the myriad of matters that must be taken care of following a death, from notifying insurance companies to applying for benefits. Handling the legal and financial details after a death can be a complicated, confusing process.

A Checklist Of Things To Do After The Funeral

  2. Send thank you notes for those who sent flowers and donations or showed a special kindness.
  3. Meet with the deceased's attorney to discuss the necessary legal processes.
  4. Notify the insurance companies and file all claims.
