W. Richard "Dick" Swarr

W. Richard Swarr, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Oak Leaf Manor North. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Elva M. (Wenger) Swarr.

Dick was a mechanic by trade working many years with his father, W.W. Swarr. He liked old cars, collecting coins, and dabbling in the stock market. Dick particularly enjoyed meeting friends and acquaintances at Park City and local eateries. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946.

Dick is survived by daughters, Cynthia (Pete) Cope, Mount Joy, Cheryl Mitchell, AZ and Beverly Fisher, AZ. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and his former wife, Arlene H. Swarr. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marcelyn Ernst, Susan Bunting, and Gail Simpson and his brother, Larry Swarr.
