Thomas Leonard "Tom" Weaver Sr., 76, of Rocklawn Lane, Lancaster passed away at home on Monday, September 5, 2011. Born in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Palmer H. and Pearl Brennaman Weaver. He was the husband of Nancy R. Harker Weaver and they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Tom retired as a service tech at Zimmerman Industries Inc., Ephrata and previously he worked at Wohlsen Construction, Lancaster as a steel rigger for eleven years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Tom was a life member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956 and a member of the Mount Joy American Legion Post 185. His interests included hunting, camping, playing his guitar and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children; son, Thomas L. Jr. husband of Judy Weaver of Elizabethtown, a daughter, Drinda D. wife of Eric Stein of Lancaster and a son, James H.M. husband of Jerrielle R. Weaver of Manheim; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Reeder of Cumming, Georgia, Cordelia "Cordy" Wright of Huntingdon and a brother, John Grainey of Huntingdon. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Palmer "Tinker" Weaver and a sister, Susie Hoover. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
