Shirley L. Wealand

Shirley L. Wealand, 69, of Marietta, PA was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy surrounded by the loving presence of her family.

She was born in East Donegal Twp. on September 9, 1941 to the late H. Blaine and A. Jeannette (Wolfe) Gutshall.
Shirley was retired from AMP/Tyco in 2001 after 29 years of employment. She was previously employed at the Hamilton Watch Co. of Lancaster. She had served on the Board of Directors for the Marietta Area Ambulance Association. She loved her children and grandchildren immensely and enjoyed helping people. She also enjoyed reading, NASCAR, and Native American culture.
Shirley is survived by her son John C. Jr. husband of Debra (Peiffer) Wealand; her daughter Jacqueline N. Wealand fiance of Jeffrey Koval; three grandchildren Jana R., Blaine C., and Tiersa L. Wealand; a sister Faye E. wife of J. Robert Kettering; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Betty I. Bixler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Heilig Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy PA, on Monday November 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Inurnment will be in Chiques Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Twp. There will be a time of visitation with the family at Heilig Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.

Shirley requested that in lieu of flowers contributions in her memory be sent to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster PA 17604.
