Sherry L. Altland

Sherry L. Altland, 42, of Marietta, died unexpectedly, Monday, August 8, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of Scott A. Altland. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of James Albert of Marietta, and the late Judy (Ricedorf) Albert. Sherry was a homemaker, and enjoyed reading and cooking. Surviving in addition to her husband and father are three daughters Abby Smitley, Allison Smitley, and Brooke Altland, all at home; two brothers, James "Buzz" husband of Lisa Albert of Mount Joy, and Shawn husband of Marilyn Albert of Maytown. and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother Judy, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Heilig Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy, on Saturday August 13, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Camp Hill Cemetery, Mount Joy. There will be a public viewing on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Sherry's memory to the Sherry Altland Memorial Trust which has been established for Sherry's daughters.
