S. Ruth Witman

S. Ruth Witman, 91, formerly of Manheim and Elizabethtown passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Sarah Mae Gruber Reichenbach. She was the wife of the late Wilbur E. Witman Sr. who died in 2002. A homemaker, Ruth worked in her earlier years at the former Leaman's Nursing Home, Rheems and at Bickel's Potato Chip Company, Manheim. She was a member of Florin Church of the Brethren, Mount Joy. Surviving is a son, Wilbur E. Jr. husband of Debra Herr Witman of Manheim, two grandsons, Adam and Jason Witman, one great granddaughter, Reagan M. Witman, a brother, Paul G. husband of Laura Reichenbach of Manheim and a half sister, Helen wife of Allen Good of Elizabethtown. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Lee Damon officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in West Green Tree Brethren Cemetery, Mount Joy Township. Friends may visit with the family at Hoffer Auditorium on Friday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
