Ruth N. White, 81, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Grace Frederick Myers. A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Richard H. White who died in April of this year. She was a passionate, exuberant, and loyal Philadelphia Phillies fan. Throughout her life she enjoyed playing pinochle. Ruths life was her family; she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are four sons: Ronald R. White of New Cumberland, Dennis L. White of Lititz, Steven G. White and Thomas E. husband of Dawn Buchter White all of Manheim, four daughters: Shirley A. wife of Wayne Bigham of Cleveland, TN., Susan D. wife of Frank Kowalski, Donna E. wife of Kevin Stauffer, and Sharon companion of Douglas Weitzel all of Manheim, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three brothers: Robert F. Myers, Raymond F. Myers, and Gilbert Jr. husband of Dolores Myers all of Lititz, three sisters: Romaine Young of Lititz, Vivian Wettig of Manheim, and Phyllis wife of Amos Jay King of Lancaster. Preceding her in death are two sisters: Dorothy Kline and Barbara Felker.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jeffrey C. Schell officiating. Interment is in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
