Roberta J. "Bobbie" Schmid

Roberta J. “Bobbie” Schmid, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. A life-long Lititz resident, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Underkoffler Lutz. She was the loving wife of Theodore W. “Ted” Schmid and they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, August 9th. Bobbie was a member of Lititz Moravian Congregation where she sang in the church choir for many years. Her passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She also enjoyed her friends, flowers, gardening, animals, cooking, music and time spent at Long Beach Island.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Adessa, wife of Dan Bender, Theodore “Ted” W. II, husband of Wendy White Schmid and Brett Schmid, all of Lititz; four grandchildren, Erin Heinly (Justin), Scott Bender (Jeanie), Ian and Taylor Schmid, great granddaughter Briella Bender, sister-in-law, Judy Rhoads of Mount Joy and half-brother, Robert Lutz (Sharon) of California. She was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Rhoads.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
