Richard H. "Dick" Metzler

Richard H. “Dick” Metzler, 86, of Manheim passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle, Lititz. Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late Clarence H. and Emma Heisey Metzler. He was the loving husband of Norene E. Bugg Metzler and they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in August. Dick retired after 28 years as a tractor trailer driver for Packaging Corporation of America, Lancaster. Previously, he worked for Sico Company, Mount Joy. Dick was a member of East Fairview Church of the Brethren, Manheim and he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His interests included gardening, farming, camping, snowmobiling and mowing his lawn. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife to Tennessee and Maine.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Ross husband of Sonya Metzler of Manheim.

Funeral services will be held at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township.
