Redgie L. Mattern

Redgie L. Mattern, 56, formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his home in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Glenna Mattern of East Petersburg, and the late Herbert E. Mattern Sr. Redgie was the husband of Sue Mattern. He had memberships with the American Legion, VFW, and the Germania Band Club all of Manheim. Redgie enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. Redgie will be missed by his beloved dog Roy.

Surviving in addition to his mother, and wife, is a sister Sue wife of Dennis Parmer of Ephrata, a brother, Herbert Jr. husband of Anne Mattern of Elm, three nephews and two nieces. Preceding him in death is a daughter, Jennifer Mattern.

A Celebration of Life Service for Redgie will be held at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
