Naomi H. Greiner

Naomi H. Greiner, 97, of Manheim passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Oak Leaf Manor, Landisville. Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Rebecca Heistand Hernley. She was the wife of the late Lester G. Greiner who died in 1999. Naomi was a farm wife who helped her husband on the family farm in Rapho Township. She and her husband were also house parents at Milton Hershey Industrial School. Naomi was a member of Chiques Church of the Brethren, Manheim where she served as deaconess. Her interests included gardening, word puzzles and she loved to spend time with her family. Naomi also enjoyed selling farm fresh eggs to local Manheim area customers.
Surviving are three sons, Rev. Dr. J. Gerald husband of Dr. Vernne Wetzel Greiner of Mechanicsburg, Calvin Eugene husband of Stephanie Guion Greiner and L. Nevin husband of Bonita Levy Greiner both of Manheim, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, a brother, Peter husband of Mary Kathryn Sensenig Hernley of Manheim and three sisters, Reba Hershey of Manheim, Orpha Graybill and Lois wife of Gordon Derstler both of Lititz. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Rohrer and Jane Sheetz.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public visitation with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
