Michael A. Ebersole

July 30, 1956 — June 4, 2020

Michael A. Ebersole, 63, of Mount Joy, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard R. Sr. and Olene (Jumper) Ebersole.

Employed by Forever Lebanon Valley Media, Mike was the update anchor weekday mornings on the Lyons Den and The Early Morning Show with Steve Todd. He also hosted the middays on WQIC weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

Mike had been in the radio broadcasting industry longer than he cared to admit. He never dreamed he would be an on-air radio personality. Mike actually spent some years in the banking industry out of high school, and was an entertainment director at a few major Lancaster hotels. After some radio stints in Pottsville, Allentown and Louisiana, and few stops in York and Lancaster, Mike has now spent the majority of his career with Lebanon Broadcasting.

Mike was a graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School and attended the Music Business Institute in Atlanta, GA. A sports enthusiast, Mike was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and has attend many Packers games at Lambeau Field. His love for sports has led him to handle the public address duties from boys’ and girls’ high school basketball games at his alma mater. Mike was also the public address announcer for Lebanon Valley College Football, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball for 13 years.

Mike was a lover of good food, and enjoyed cooking and traveling, preferably where it is warm with sand and water.
