Melanie S. Vener

Melanie S. Vener, 46, of Enola and formerly of Manheim passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Barry L. and Sue Bruckhart Weidman. She was the loving wife of Michael B. Vener and they celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in May. Melanie graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1990 and from Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Sociology.

She was a member of East Fairview Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Melanie served as a Boy Scout Committee member and was involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and The Foundation for Building Strength for Nemaline Myopathy. An avid photographer, Melanie loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are three children, Maximus, Marcus and Marlaina and a brother Matthew, husband of Heather Clugston Weidman of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at East Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1187 Fairview Road, Manheim PA, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim PA, on Friday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private in the adjoining church cemetery.
