Margaret E. Ober, 85, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim.

Born in Conewago Township, she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Bertha Eshelman Espenshade. Margaret worked for Ackerman Veterinary Practice, Manheim, and helped her husband on the family farm in Rapho Township. She was the loving wife of the late Jay G. Ober who died in June of 2004. Margaret was a member of the Chiques Church Of The Brethren, Manheim; a prayer warrior, she encouraged others through a card ministry throughout her life. Her interests included canning, and sewing. Margarets passion in life was her family and spending and sharing quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters: Julie A. wife of Jesse Stauffer of Lititz, Pat L. wife of Wilbur Weaver of Latrobe, Nancy A. wife of Carl Groff of Manheim, a son, Gary L. husband of Sherrie Schwenk Ober of Manheim, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth husband of Charlotte Espenshade of Lititz, and a sister, Arlene wife of Robert Frey of Lititz. Preceding her in death are four brothers: Walter, Roy, J. Harold and Robert Espenshade.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Chiques Church Of The Brethren 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
