Lois B. Peters

March 11, 1929 — December 25, 2018

Lois B. Peters, 89, of Elizabethtown, and formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2018 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Elam and Margaret Floyd Brubaker. Lois was the loving wife of the late Luke K. Peters who died in January 2012. She was an active and faithful member of the Manheim Mennonite Church, and passionately supported the sewing circle throughout the years. Her interests included flower and vegetable gardening. Over the years Lois faithfully helped her husband on the hobby family farm. Lois had a kind and gentle spirit; known for giving and helping others during her walk on this earth with her Lord.

Surviving are four daughters: Karen P. wife of Carl S. Mentzer of Manheim, Joanne wife of Timothy P. O’Connell of Singapore, Irene B. wife of Steven Villanueva of Lebanon, Audrey B. wife of Timothy S. Winters of Elizabethtown, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister, Grace Stauffer of Lititz, and two brothers: James husband of Miriam Brubaker, and Luke husband of Barb Brubaker all of Mount Joy. Preceding her in death is a sister, Dorothy Hershey.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lois’s funeral service at the Manheim Mennonite Church, 201 West High Street, Manheim, on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the church on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will be in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery. Those desiring may send contributions in Lois’s memory to Manheim Mennonite Church Caring Fund, 201 West High Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
