John W. Theis

John W. Theis, 68, of Mount Joy, died peacefully on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. He was the husband of Barbara (Sweigart) Theis and they celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this past May. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Clarence and Cora (Wenger) Theis. John had been a tool & die maker for various area companies before retiring in 2008. In his free time and after retiring John enjoyed archery, golfing, spending time in mountains, but his greatest joy was spending time with his four grandsons.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son John W, Jr.; two daughters Kelly, partner of Annika Miller, and Lucinda Weaver; four grandsons Rowan & Seanan Miller, Justin & Matthew Theis; and a sister Lorraine wife of Jack Silknetter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters Mary Ann Theis, Gloria Ernst, Nancy Tullai, Luella Zook; and a brother Clarence Theis, Jr.
