John F. Fox

John F. Fox Jr. 84, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Life Quest Nursing Center, Quakertown. Born in Lancaster he was the son of John F. Sr. and Mary Jane (Keller) Fox. He was the husband of the late Alma Landis Fox for 46 years. Alma passed away in 2002. Early on, Jack as he was often called, was employed by the Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster and then, for over 25 years he was employed by Lancaster Paint and Glass Company. As a senior, he was a flagman for Lancaster Electric and Telephone Companies. Jack was a loyal Eagles and Phillies fan, loved eating out and taking trips to Vermont with his family.
John is survived by four stepchildren, Jean O. Schaffer wife of William E. of Coopersburg, Christian L. Oberholtzer husband of Alice of Louisburg, NC, Dewey L. Oberholtzer husband of Dorothy of Gordonville, Dennis L. Oberholtzer husband of Earline of Paradise, twelve grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a brother, Carl Fox husband of Isabel of Lititz and a sister Doris Neff of Millersville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Burkholder.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim PA on Friday March 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. There will be a public viewing on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
