January 30, 1927 — July 9, 2011

Jean D. Bard, 84, of Manheim, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 surrounded by her family following a brief illness at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Sunbury, she was the daughter of the late R. Earl and Helen Gibble Dennis. For over 20 years Jean worked in the office of the former Raymark Industries Manheim. She was the loving wife of P. Albert Bard who died in December of 1995. Jeans' interests included: crocheting, flower gardening, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Surviving are three daughters: Kay L. wife of Roscoe Kauffman, Brenda E. Eisenhauer all of Manheim, Connie M. wife of Brian Williams Sr. of Columbia, a son, Robert E. husband of Debra Bard of Mount Joy, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a brother, Raymond E. husband of Sara Dennis of Marietta, OH., and a sister, Dorothy wife of Joseph Brooks of Madison, WI. Preceding her in death is a brother, Clair Dennis and two sisters: Faye Kulp, and Patricia Rohrer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service at the Manheim Fairview Cemetery Sun Hill Road, Manheim on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM. The family request casual attire for the service. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Jean's memory to the American Lung Association 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or the American Heart Association 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
