J. Edward Fagan

J. Edward Fagan, 86, of Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, and formerly of Lancaster, passed away following a brief illness on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Matilda Fagan. Ed was the loving husband of the late Diana Marden Fagan who died in 2001. For over 36 years Ed worked as a Quality Control Manager for the picture tube division at RCA Corporation, Lancaster. A veteran, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In his early years Ed enjoyed vegetable gardening and wood working. One of his greatest passions was his faithful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, "Buddy.”

Surviving is a daughter, Kelly C. wife of Tim Gerhart of Lititz, three grandsons: Sean Ryan, Justin and Philip Gerhart, and a brother, Hank husband of Colleen DeVoss of San Jose, CA., and a special friend, Doris Briggs of Neffsville. Preceding Ed in death are two daughters: Linda Versch, and Peggy Ryan.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be sent in Ed’s memory to Hospice and Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
